Buddy Hodges in present-day Springfield.

Buddy Hodges is a fictional character in The Simpsons universe, known as the actor who played Fallout Boy. He assumed the role for the film serial, the later campy television series, several movies, and the Radioactive Man Christmas Special.

Hodges acted alongside Dirk Richter, of whom Hodges thought highly. He had been hounded by questions about Richter's death and wished they would stop, calling Dirk Richter "a beautiful man".

In later life, Hodges faded into obscurity, to the point that Bart Simpson incorrectly believed that Hodges had died in the Vietnam War. Hodges continued with acting, playing Rum Tum Tugger in a national touring of Cats. Hodges then appeared at Springfield's 12th Annual "Close Encounter of the Comic Book Kind" convention.[1]

Trivia[]

*Bart and his friends watch a black and white serial at the comic book convention. It ends by saying it was sponsored by Laramie Cigarettes and showing Buddy Hodges in his role as Fallout Boy saying "Gee Radioactive Man, wish I was old enough to smoke Laramies", to which Radioactive Man replies "Sorry Fallout Boy, not until you are sixteen!". Moments later, Buddy Hodges is seen holding a cigarette.
